Family owned and operated on Main Street in Vernal since 1961, and now run by the third generation, Jon and Julie. Sixty-five years of dressing the Basin, and it is still the same family behind the counter.
Three generations on Main Street
Mr S Clothing opened its doors in 1961. Sixty-five years later, the year is not just a slogan, it is cut into the store’s own window glass on West Main, in gold. What started with one family has passed down twice, and today the third generation, Jon and Julie, keeps it running.
In a town where a lot of Main Street storefronts have come and gone, that kind of run is rare. It happens because the same values keep getting handed down with the keys: highest quality clothing, a fitting done in person, and taking care of the person in front of you.

This is a real Mr S Clothing newspaper ad, run for the store’s 30th anniversary. The two family portraits tell the multi-generation story better than we could, and the list of services reads almost the same today as it did then:

A room the family built
Exposed brick, an iron chandelier, a mustard velvet couch, and an antique upright piano that now displays the ties. People stop in just to see it, and a lot of Vernal’s prom and wedding photos have been taken right here.
